LIMITED RELEASE DARK SERIES AUSTRALIAN ABSINTHE.
Popular among artistic luminaries and French bohemian circles of the mid to late 19th Century, absinthe is a spirit forever associated with creative enlightenment.
Our Australian Absinthe is made using a unique blend of traditional botanicals, including the ‘Holy Trinity’ of absinthe; wormwood, sweet fennel and green anise, as well as lemon balm, aniseed and hyssop.
The flavour is vibrant, driven by lashings of green anise and aniseed. When you add chilled water and a sugar cube as per tradition, it takes on an unctuous mouthfeel and sweet, licorice flavour.
The colour of the absinthe is all natural and comes from the steeping process not artificial dyes. As is the case with many traditional absinthe, the colour of the spirit will change from pale green to light yellow over time.
Serve traditionally using a slotted spoon, sugar and cold water or add a dash to your favourite cocktail.
